Landing page split testing – how to and why!

If you have been doing Internet marketing for even a short amount of time you know how important landing page split testing is. Driving targeted traffic to your landing page is way better than sending your visitors to the main homepage of your website. Of course, if you want to make the most from your landing page, it’s very important that you consistently try out different things so that you know how best to raise your conversion rate. Simply getting a lot of traffic won’t get the job done, you also need to work on your conversion ratio so that you can get the most value from all of the visitors who come to see you. In the article below we look into three unique and effective landing page split-testing tips that you can use on your own page…

A good place to get started is with the addition of any logos from credible organizations to your page. You’ll get a much better conversion rate when you join organizations like the Better Business Bureau because people have lots of faith in these organizations.

So sign up for a variety of these kinds of organizations and then put their badges on your landing page. Before you can add them permanently, though, test them out on your page to see what sort of a response you will get from them. If you see your conversion rate go up, keep them or else it is just clutter on your page.

When you are promoting or selling different but similar in nature products, you should do a split-test to see if you can get a good return on one landing page that sells many products or if your return is better when each product has its own landing page. Ultimately, your aim with the landing page is to get conversions, and either ways, you will see that your conversion rate is increasing or decreasing. So make sure you analyze this factor and focus on multiple products if that’s working or else go with a single offer.

Make sure that you use quotation marks with your headline and that the first letter of each word of the headline is capitalized. Plenty of people have found success through this approach and you can too but the only way to know for certain is to do split-tests. Each small change results in a definite shift in numbers and over time those small changes can add up into a large impact. You need to take pains to ensure that you don’t ignore even a single split-testing opportunity because they are what will help you get the conversion rates you crave.

Once you’ve started receiving better conversion rates, you will see for yourself that small changes can mean big differences for your bottom lines. Split-testing is an old concept but you do not find many Internet Marketers putting it to use. But keep in mind that, without carrying out regular split-tests on your landing pages, you won’t be able to improve your conversion rate. So put these tips into action and see what kind of results they yield.
